Due to not having a domain for almost two years and just getting a domain from Google FINALLY (they refused all this time, telling me "you don't need one") I am now recovering the blog. Hopefully the Table of Contents will be finished by May 1, 2020 but my computer gets hacked and has other technocratic struggles.
Welcome to my BlogPost
On Sketching, Drawing - using various supplies. Not just pencils.

I remember learning about how some artists even hundreds of years ago used "cheating techniques" - rather than free hand, such as drawing the shadow, but even moreso, using device techniques which actually transfer the image on their paper so they really do not have to sketch them free-hand. This is not like using a copier and cutting out the project, of course. This happened many years ago. It may have been when I was in Boston, MA - and had the unique opportunity to see a full display of Leonardo DaVinci's work including his inventions, writings - it was massive and took a full day to view everything. I think it may have been there when someone told me about how the cheating artists were cutting into Leonardo DaVinci and MichaelAngelo and others from that time. Those sketches were preliminaries for paintings.
It was quite a clever technique and I am sure has a place in society.
Share your work on Google if you want. It's so much fun to just enjoy other people's work when I have time

www.drawlucy.com - device actually protrays your subject on your paper like a camera - and your product can be accomplished quickly - an obvious mechanical method which loses its monetary value but sure works in a pinch!
Someone told me at a museum, I think the Boston Science Museum, that a reflection process was used by some artists so they could crank their work out faster, and Michaelangelo and Leonardo DaVinci highly criticized it.
I'll be back and share videos - probably in between the pictures .......
