I’m going to
try to be nice about this, because being the asshole I really want to be right
now will not work.
My 3 year
old’s school just called. A kid with a “religious
exemption” from vaccines was just diagnosed with pertussis.
My 3 year
old has not yet had her last DTaP shot.
She is currently home with a 102 degree fever and cough. WITH HER 4 MONTH OLD BABY BROTHER! This illness could potentially be deadly if
he were to catch it. Is this getting through to anyone? My 4 month old could DIE if his sister has
contracted pertussis from her classmate, who had no legitimate medical reason
to not be vaccinated, and could have been fully vaxxed for it by now as he’s
already 4, and passes it on to her baby brother. I constantly hear the argument, “well, it’s
my child, my choice”. No. Just, no.
It is EVERYONE’S child. Your choice.
Unless there is a legitimate medical reason for you not to vaccinate a
child, and not just some bullshit “religious”, or google biased reason, please

On 8 December 2010, SPC Pulaski distinguished
himself with acts of gallantry during a dismounted movement in Kunduz Province,
Afghanistan. During a Joint mission alongside the Afghan Border Police, 3'd
Platoon moved through the village of Haruti in search of a weapons cache. As
Alpha team moved east across an open field between compounds, they were caught
in a near ambush from two locations. Both positions opened fire with PKM, AK-47
and 30mm grenade launchers. Realizing that both the lead team and the HQ
element were pinned down in an open field and taking heavy fire, SPC Pulaski
moved to a position south west of the HQ element and engaged the enemy
fighters. This action drew fire away from the pinned down elements and allowed
them to crawl to safety SPC Pulaski then led the charge as his fire team rushed
toward the contact across an open field to an unfortified position.
SPC Pulaski's actions attrite the enemy force
and saved the lives of the members
of HQs element who were pinned down by enemy fire. After an exhaustive search for the cache, 3rd platoon was given the order to withdraw from the objective. Within five minutes they were ambushed from fighters who had massed within the town. The Patrol Leader told SPC Pulaski to act as a base of fire as the rest of his Platoon bounded to the west. SPC Pulaski stoically maintained his position with the PL as they suppressed the enemy. After three successive bounds under constant enemy fire, 3'd Platoon found themselves trapped and surrounded inside a large compound. SPC

accompanying EOD and identifying that there was no alternate egress routes out
of the compound, SPC Pulaski directed that EOD blow an exit door in the
opposite direction of the enemy fighters. As EOD attempted to breach the
western wall, SPC Pulaski overheard people speaking on the opposite side of the
wall. He used the language assistant to determine that it was Taliban fighters
who were staged in an ambush on the other side. SPC Pulaski used three grenades

In the very beginning of earth's history, this planet was a
giant, red hot, roiling, boiling sea of molten rock - a magma ocean. The heat
had been generated by the repeated high speed collisions of much smaller bodies
of space rocks that continually clumped together as they collided to form this
planet. As the collisions tapered off the earth began to cool, forming a thin
crust on its surface. As the cooling continued, water vapor began to escape and
condense in the earth's early atmosphere. Clouds formed and storms raged,
raining more and more water down on the primitive earth, cooling the surface
further until it was flooded with water, forming the seas. It is theorized that
the true age of the earth is about 4.6 billion years old, formed at about the
same time as the rest of our solar system. The oldest rocks geologists have
been able to find are 3.9 billion years old. Using radiometric dating methods
to determine the age of rocks means scientists have to rely on when the rock
was initially formed (as in - when its internal minerals first cooled). In the
infancy of our home planet the entire earth was molten rock - a magma ocean.
Since we can only measure as far back in time as we had solid rock on this
planet, we are limited in how we can measure the real age of the earth. Due to
the forces of plate tectonics, our planet is also a very dynamic one; new
mountains forming, old ones wearing down, volcanoes melting and reshaping new
crust. The continual changing and reshaping of the earth's surface that
involves the melting down and reconstructing of old rock has pretty much
eliminated most of the original rocks that came with earth when it was newly
formed. So the age is a theoretical age. When Did Life on Earth Begin?
Scientists are still trying to unravel one of the greatest mysteries of earth:
When did "life" first appear and how did it happen? It is estimated
that the first life forms on earth were primitive, one-celled creatures that
appeared about 3 billion years ago. That's pretty much all there was for about
the next two billion years. Then suddenly those single celled organisms began
to evolve into multicellular organisms. Then an unprecedented profusion of life
in incredibly complex forms began to fill the oceans. Some crawled from the
seas and took residence on land, perhaps to escape predators in the ocean. A
cascading chain of new and increasingly differentiated forms of life appeared
all over the planet, only to be virtually annihilated by an unexplained mass
extinction. It would be the first of several mass extinctions in Earth's
history. Scientists have been looking increasingly to space to explain these
mass extinctions that have been happening almost like clockwork since the
beginning of "living" time. Perhaps we've been getting periodically
belted by more space rocks (ie. asteroids), or the collision of neutron stars
happening too close for comfort? Each time a mass extinction occurred, life
found a way to come back from the brink. Life has tenaciously clung to this
small blue planet for the last three billion years. Scientists are finding new
cues as to how life first began on earth in some really interesting places -
the deep ocean.

I was just watching my local news (to catch the weather) and
a reporter nonchalantly said that the Navy will be dropping live bombs in the
middle of Ocala national Forest from 9-11 am starting monday and fighter jets
will be present in the area. Can someone fill me in, is that normal? My mom was
an army brat and she says she has never heard of them dropping live bombs in
national forests. It's weird how the articles are written too. I'm kind of

Trump Continued Obamacare – remember?
Thanks to you guys .... if you like your HC plan you can keep it. If you
don't like your HC plan you can keep it. In fact what we get to do is keep our
Obamacare. You will pay in 2018. After all we are with rates up 125% here we
will for your stubbornness. I will never vote for you guys or any Tea Party

was something there but was not. And the building was demolished from
explosives. The flaws in that theory include people actually claiming they saw
the planes hit the buildings. It was only later that the propaganda story about
not seeing a plane hit the the WTC arose, since the Enemies Within had to make
something up to cover for themselves, as people began challenging the story
right to begin with. Drones can fly that low and that slow. NOT Boeing planes -
the Boeing plane would stall out because it is programmed not to be able to fly
low like that, for one thing. And they cannot fly that fast at that elevation,
when they are descending to land. They were drones. That is why the second was
packed with more explosives before they flew it about 40 minutes after the
first one. And they made it hit a lower floor - to kill more people!

would cost less and certain things like pre-existing conditions would be kept.
The republicans did not offer a plan that was better. They offered a plan
that was worse, that would have left millions without anything. I would love to
see something better than ACA that costs less, has more choices, and doesn't
affect the price for private individual insurance plans for people who do not
buy through the ACA. Maybe it's time for a universal single payer plan.

"rural" only -- most of the population of AZ is Phx and Tuscon.
Cities. We had already and 30 and 40% increases. What Republicans needed to do
was take a step. I think all subsidized HC should be single payer (Medicare for
all) -- but that those that want and can pay for something different, give them
a choice -- to buy across state lines, tort reform, etc. If the main problem
was uninsured people my idea works perfectly -- cover them with subsidized MC
based on income. Some people say it is not good enough and we need all these
ACA things. Funny, all our old people get MC -- why should anyone else get
better care (subsidized). We technically have HC coverage. With huge co-pays
and deductibles it is no coverage. We pretty much pay for everything. I went to
the doctor and they did not take the plan -- so I asked if I just paid cash
what was the price? 15.00 more for a doctor's visit. Big deal. For that we pay
20k premiums that are not tax deductible. I had a prescription with wrong
instructions (so refused by insurance) so I either had to drive 50 miles to a
doctor that accepts the plan, pay the 15.00 extra for the local doctor, or ...
pay 6.00 more to pay cash for the medication. Of course I paid the six bucks.
Cheryl went to sign up for a doctor that takes this insurance -- first
appointment available is July 27th! The emergency rooms are packed now as most
doctor calls just send you there ... they don't have time.
Jessica Papkoff I agree. It's too bad that
there was not a better effort to take the time to put a good replacement plan
together, something that should take many months, if not a year, to really go
through the details, gather information, get input from the public, budget
analysis, etc. Unfortunately, with Trump's proposed budget, there doesn't seem
to be much room for a good health care plan for all. Since we already have
everything in place for Medicare, how hard would it be to just get everyone
into that? Assuming we have budget for it. I understand that it could cause job
loss impact for people who work at insurance companies but things are getting
way too expensive especially if you're paying fir a private plan. I don't
completely understand why the cost of private plans has gone up so much and
that the coverage is less, deductibles higher. I recently found out that my
plan with a 3K deductible, is the same plan offered to employers as a group
plan with just a $250 deductible. I don't understand why my deductible is 12
times more than the same plan offered to employees at a fairly small company
(40 people). And that it costs $320 more per month than a better private plan I
had 4 years ago before ACA and even $200 per month more than my plan from 2
years ago. Why can't everyone who is self-employed be a group and qualify for a
group rate with a $250 deductible?

I'm all for fixing the stuff in ACA that doesn't work, but it is only going to
happen if the center right and center left make it a priority. I can't see that
happening anytime soon.
Eric Eberhard 100% agree -- Obamacare was
too far left, Freedom Caucus losers to far right (and too dumb to see they
can't get cloture in the Senate) -- and the closer to an election ... less
happens. What many people don't know is that ACA pays insurance
companies for losses. This partially ended in 2017 (hence the big
increases and insurance companies dropping out). 2018 ends the subsidy and the
death spiral will come. And all these politicians care about is who is going to
take the blame from the public and hence win in 2018.
